POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following plaoos as under, subjoot to the necessary alterations FRIDAY, MARCH 14. For Northern Porta of New Zealand, Sydney and Brisbane, per Wakatipn, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, Wellington, and Wanganui, per Tni, at 4,45 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mall. For Akaroa, per s.s., Akaroa.at 3.30 p.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 15. For Northern ports per Wanaka. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on March 28th, and will be duo in London on May 13th. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southamptoo will be closed at Christchurch on April 7th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in Londen on June 2nd, and the mail via Southampton on June 9th, Notice.—On and after March 12th an extra daily mail, closing at 11 a.m., will be despatched to Amberley. The return mail will arrive at Christchurch daily at 2.50 p.m. On and after March T2th a daily mail will be sent to Boaley’s road, closing at 6 a m. SYDNEY J. DICK. Ghiftf Postmaster.
