It is stated that Detective Sullivan is to be transferred to Wanganui, and Detective Warner, now at Wanganui, is to replace Sullivan at Wellington. five pounds has been awarded to Constable Mackay for his services in arresting Brown, alias Furnace, recently sentenced for larceny and having skeleton keys in his possession. Specifications in connection with the new railway wharf provide that the contract is to b« completed in nine months from the acceptance of the tenders.
