Mails oloso at the Chief Post Office tor the following places as under, subject to tho necessary alterations >— THURSDAY, MARCH 13. Fupplomentary mails for the United Kingdom via Southampton and Brindisi (specially addressed letters only), Australian Colonies, Ac., will be closed atChristchurch on Thursday, March 13th, at 7.30 a.m., for despatch, per express, to connect with s.s. Arawata at Port Cl.almers. Letters, bearing an extra fee of 2d,may be posted in the travelling post-office attached to the express train on the 13th inst. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney and Brisbane, per Wakatipu, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Ringarooma, at 4.15 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on Friday, March 28th, and will be duo in London on May 13th, Notice.—On and after March 12th an extra daily mail, closing at 11 a.m., will bo despatched to Amberley, The return mail will arrive at Christchurch daily at 2.50 p.m. From to-day’s date a daily mail will ho sent to Boaley’s road, closing at 6 a m.
