Owing to the financial difficulties of the corporation, a series of resolutions, recommending the stoppage of all expenditure and discontinuance of street lighting, have been tabled for consideration at next meeting, His Exoellency Sir Hercules Robinson was entertained at a banquet at the Reform Club last night. The attendance was large. Mblboubne, March 8. The return cricket match was resumed today. The Victorians in the first innings made 146 ; second innings, 155. The English team in the second innings have made 31 for four wickets. The latter require only 22 to win with six wickets to fall.
