Tho results of the analysis,, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that It contains but traces lof solid matter in solution. I have the honor to report for your Informa, tion that the sample of Imperial Sohiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the fi nest sample of Schnapps that hi.s yat come under ray notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and is absolutely Loo from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently bean distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead cf malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps, it la vary smooth to the palate, and in this respect compares favourably with other samples offered for sale.
