Bluff, March 6, The Union Company's Arawata left Melhonrn at 315 p.m. on the 28th ult., but anchored at the Heads to await the arrival of the Assam with the mails. The New Zealand portion of the Suez mail was transhipped at 2 p.m. of the Ist lost., and the Arawata sailed at 3.30 p.m. fortheßlnff, and arrived at 830 a.m. to-day. She experienced fresh easterly winds during the pas3aste. She brings 60 saloou and 90 steerage passengers, and 520 tons cargo for nil ports. She sails at 4 p.m. for Dunedin.
