AUCKLAND CITY WEST ELECTION.
[Press Special Wire.] Auckland, March 4. The polling for Auckland City West election Took place to-day, and resulted in the return of Mr Goldie, the supporter of secular education, by a large majority over his opponent, Mr Dignan, .who is in favor of denominational •education. The numbers polled were as follows : Goldie ... 776 Dignan 261 Majority for Goldie, 515.
