[PER PRESS AGENCY.] Wellington, March 4. Complaints still continue as to the want of increased wharf accommodation. Yesterday a large number of carts were kept idle for hours in consequence of being unable to get on the wharf owing to the crush. The Chamber of Commerce intends discussing the question of reclaiming upwards of one hundred acres of foreshore, between the railway station and a point in the Kaiwarra road. In connection with this reclamation will be the construction of a graving dock, capable of taking in steamers which Messrs Galbraith propose to build. Greytown, March 4. Another most destructive fire broke out at Masterton about two o'clock this morning, destroying a large block of valuable buildings, including the newly-erected Bank of Australasia, William and Cameron, saddlers ; Wilton, seeds man; a boarding house and other business places. Further particulars are not yet to hand. The telegraph line is down. The fire brigade worked splendidly, and stayed the progress of of the fire. The meeting re the Jockey Club was poorly attended, and was adjourned to to-night. It was stated that considerable funds had been promised fur the meeting. ihe railway employes of the Southland section have formed a benefit society. 188.2 acres of laud have been gazetted as open on the deferred payment system. Mr Varley bad another crowded meeting last night.
