Miles, Hassal and Co., agents. The s.s. Tararua arrived at noon to-day from Melbourne, Hobart Town, and the South. She will leave to-night for Sydney, via East Coast ports ana Angler, for Valparaiso, and Chittagong. for Oamarn, sailed this morning. The s.s. Tararua will leave to-night for Sydney, via East C ast ports and Auckland. , The s.s. Hawea, Captain Kennedy, from Auckland via East Coast ports, arrived at nine o’clock yesterday morning, nineteen hours from Wellington. She brought in all fifty tons of cargo for Lyttelton, the major portion of which was transhipped ex Taupo. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wellington, February 26. Arrived: Spray, from Lyttelton. Arrived: Stella, barque, 120 days from Glasgow. No passengers and a full cargo. Aberdeen, from New York, 156 days out. Captain Fulford’s voyage was prolonged by storms and calms. For a period of forty days only made 1000 miles. On 7th October, after having experienced two heavy cyclones, fell in with the brig Ida Fulton, Captain Veel, from Halifax to Cuba, with a cargo of coal, which vessel was in a sinking condition. Took off the captain and nine men, and transhipped half of them to the British brig Saladero of Prince Edward Island, bound to Pernambnco, and the other half were transhipped to the barqne Malcolm, of London, bound to Barbadoes. The Aberdeen brings a full cargo. Sailed: Easby, for Lyttelton, at 1.30 p.m. Hokitika, February 26. Arrived: Claud Hamilton, from Melbourne. Passengers for Lyttelton, Mr Lindsay and five in steerage. Auckland, February 26. The new iron steamer. Rose Casey, built by Fraser, Tinne and Co., to order of Captain Casey, for the Mahnrangi trade, mode a successful trial trip to-day. She steamed ekht and a half knots. Sailed : Taiaroa, from the Mannkau for the Sonth. Passenger for Lyttelton, Mr Mills. Port Chalmers, February 26. Arrived: Star of the South, from Lyttelton, at 8 a.m. Sailed: Tararua, for Lyttelton, at 625 p.m.
