The results of the analysis, which are set forth In a separate report, show that thh spirit Is of good strength, praotically frea from acidity, and that it contains but trace* of solid matter in solution, It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pur© and mild taste. I have the honor to report for your Inform*. tion that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching ohemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has yet come under my notice. _ It has a pure fragrant odour, and ia absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil Of other injurious Impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, alwaya ustd instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It il very smooth to the palate, and In thi* respect compares favourably with other samples offered for sale.
