There is a competition of Wood’s, McCormick’s, Osborne’s, and Marsh’s harvesters on Wednesday at Wallacetown. [per press agency.] AHAUHA, February 24. The Nelson Waste Lands Board has decided on passing regulations to prevent the gratuitous depasturing of cattle on Crown lands. There is great dissatisfaction in the Grey Valley among the small farmers. A public meeting is to bo h°ld to consider the measure. A petition is in course of preparation protesting agains 3 the regulations.
