Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, sabjeot to the neooFßary tlterations : MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Oreti, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. Late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. For Valparaiso, i>er Helen Angier. Hour of closing in morning papers. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Hawea. For Chatham Islauds, per Omaha, on Thursday, February 27th, at 10 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, March Ist, and will be due in London on April 15th. The next mails for United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on March 12th.
