Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the to'lowing places as under, subject to the necessity alterations : SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22. For Otago, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Timarn and Dnnedin, per Star of the Sonth, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters. 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Oreti. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Hawea. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, on Thursday, February 27th, at 8 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, March Ist, and will bo cine in London on April 15th. The next mails for United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will bo closed at Christchurch on March 12th.
