DUNEDIN TRAINING NOTES. [By Telegraph.] [ibom oub own oobbkßpondent.] Dunedin, February 18. The doings at tie Forbury are beginning to get interesting now, since the Northern horres are putting in an appearance. Ray's team, which arrived by train last night, and were taken to Allen's Btable3, were the first on the ground this morning. Templeton, Titania, and Sinking Fund were sent a quiet canter once round. The old horse looks well, but, if anything, a little on the big side. Titania was a little out of sorts and restive, but on the score* of condition there is little to find fault with in* her. Sinking Fund looks in good form, as also does Maritana, as far as could be judged of her in her clothing. Macgregor did not work Blue Peter or Boadicea, but he sen*, Numa two miles with Tommy. Te Kooti wa3 treated to two miles at a medium pace. Benjrjo, De.ul Heat, and Vampire were then stripped and sent the Cup distance, the last two miles of which occupied 4min. 3 sec. Vampire had, I think, the best of the spin, and seemed anxious to go faster. Cloth of Gold next went the same journey, Sir James finishing the last mile and a naif with him. The (Jhesnut made the pace slow, and the time for the last two miles was 4 miu. L2J sec. Duntroon and Minnie went twice round together fast. King Phillip and Kildare were out, but did not wo:k. Goodman sent Chancellor and Playboy a spin on the beach. Dan. O'Brien's lot, comprising Fishhook, Natator, Te Whetu, and possibly another, will arrive by this evening's train; while Outts', Mallock's, and Horafall's horses may be expected in a day or two.
