Our men are favorable to Mr Appleby’s proposal to fire the interprovineial match on the return from Nelson. A resolution to that effect will be brought forward at the association meeting to-night. Blenheim, February 14. The inspector and the secretary of the Acclimatisation Society went down the river last night in search of persons shooting wild ducks out of season. They fouud several hundred ducks in Maori canoes. Information was laid against George McDonald, a half-caste. Wellington, February 14.
The Governor will reeeive a deputation from the Working Men’s Club on Saturday next, when they will present him with an address.
