And he stood forth and mied, yet again—If you will give unto me but a small portion of what ye have given unto others, beh'ld then your wives and your daughters shall wear chains of goH around their necks, and bands of gold and of silver upon their arms, and rings upon their fingers and in their ears. And moreover he said, I will give unto you that which is desired of all men and which shall be of service to thee; and I will sell unto thee watches which no man can surpass for two pounds each. And it was so that the people flocked unto him, and did buy of him, for he dealt fairly with the people and sold unto them goods which no man could surpass, and lo! he remaineth in the city unto this day.
