[BETTTEB'S TELEGKAM3 TO THE PRESS AGENCY.] Sydney, February 6. Applications for space at the Exhibition are pouring in from aIL sides. The spaoe applied for by other colonies far exceeds the amount available. A black fellow recently outlawed for murder has been shot dead by the Glen Innes police. Melbourne, February 6. There is much uneasiness in commercial circles, and further failures are expected. Dr Crooke is improving. There is no truth in the reports that he endeavored to poison himself. Sir Brian O'Loghlin, Acting-Premier, in a speech yesterday, stated that he hoped the Prince of Wales would open the Melbourne Exhibition. The work of clearing the ground for the building has commenced.
