Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the .'ollowing places as under, subject to the ne jess ary alterations THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6. For Wanganui, per L-t. Kilda, at 11.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 11.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For Otago, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; late letter-box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 3.15 p.m ; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tm, at 4.45 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. For Northern Ports, per Tanpo, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this used for this moil. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will close at Christchurch on February 12th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on April 7th, and the mail via Southampton on April 14th.
