Mails olose at the Chief Post Offloe for the following places as under, eubjeot to the neoossary alterations : WEDESDAY, FEBRUARY 5. For Northern Ports, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m.; latu fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.in. train. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY C. For Wanganui, per t. Kilda, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.10 p.m. train. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will close at Christchurch on February 12th. Tho mail via Briudisi will be duo in London on April 7th, and the mail via Southampton on April 14th. Ttie next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Christchnreh on February 28th, and will be due in London on April 15th. NOTICE.
