The s.s. Wallabi will also sail todav for Wanganui direct, and the s.s. Southern Cross, probably this evening for Wellington and NnpiGr The steamer Wallabi, Captain Leys, arrived on Sunday night from Wanganuiwith sheep and cattle. She left there at 8.30 p.m. on Sunday; had light N.W. winds aid cross sea to Cape Campbell; thence light N.E, winds to port. The schooner Alert left Pelorns Sound on Saturday night for Tim.aru. Tne Vindex, barqne, will be berthed at the Tunnel Wharf this morning, and tho Marie at the Screw Pile Jetty. The Bells, barque, Captain Burch, arrived from Newcastle yesterday morning with a cargo of timber and coal, consigned to her owuer, Mr C. W. Tnrner. She left there on the 14th ult j had fine northerly and N.E. weather across to arrival off Capo Farewell on the 29th; thence variable winds.
