SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
The annual meetings for the election o£ school committees took place last evening. The reports of the outgoing committees* were received, and the new committees elected* The following gentlemen were elected in the undermentioned districts ; East Christchurch.—Revs. H. C. M. Watson and H. Q-lasson, Messrs Farr, Kirk, Candy, Harris, and Henderson. West Christchurch. —Messrs H. J. Tancrod, D, Nairn, J. T. Bell, G. Booth, D. B. Bowie, F. G. Hawley, and Professor Bickerton. St. Albans’ —Messrs T. Gordon, R. Bilton, J. Say well, T. Mann, G. Dickenson, G. Hawker, and Rev. T. Fiavell. Colombo road —Rev. H. B. Cocks, Messrs Joyce, Andrews, Allison, Day, Forester, and Durham. Lower Heatbcoto —Messrs W. Atwood, H. A. Bimford, G. Gofton, R. Davis, T. Heywood, H. Berry, and A. C. Fyfe. Hillsborough and Opawa—Messrs E. Ford, J. Sandford, G. Dunean, G. Weavers, E. Joblin, P, Riornan, and J. Sharland. Upper Heathcote—Messrs Henderson, G. Garforth, Whiting, Morland, Conner, Raxwcrfhy, and Neil Smith. Kaiopoi—Messrs S. Johnston, T. Pashby, E. Parnham, R. H. Matthews, E. Rovell, R. Coup, 0. Young, and R. M. Wright. Rangiora—The retiring committee was hero re-elected.
