Lunacy.—Charles Bloom, on remand from Oxford, suffering from drunken lunacy, was discharged from custody and ordered to pay 10s 6d for medical fees. A Disobedient Cook.—John McCartney, cook on board the schooner Saxon, was, on the testimony of Capt. McKenzie, sentenced to fourteen days, with hard labour, for refusing to do his duty. Abusive Language.—Mrs Newton was charged with having upon the Bth inst., at his d welling.used abusive and threatening language to one John Thompson, and being a disturber of the peace generally. A letter signed by a number of the residents in Mrs Newton's neighborhood, complaining of that lady's behaviour was read by the Bench. Pined £3 or in default one month's imprisonment. Civil Cases.—Mrs Warne v Robert Thompson, claim, balance of account, £2 8s 7d; judgment given for plaintiff. Herman Groath v Mrs De Costa, for wages, claim £4 5s 9d; Mr Nalder for defendant; defendant refused payment on the ground that plaintiff had left her employ without proper notice ; judgment for defendant and cost*.
