Extension oe Christchurch. —It is announced in the “ G-azette ” that, unless a petition is presented within two months against the project, the following district will be incorporated with the city of Christchurch by proclamation : —Bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the North belt and Papanui road, thence following along said road to the north-west boundary of rural section 4G, thence along the north-west boundary of said section and a line in continuation thereof to the Abbcrley road, t hence along the Abbcrley and Edgewaro roads to the north-oast corner of rural section 243 b, thence along the eastern boundary of the latter section to the North belt, and thence along the North bolt to the commencing point. Supreme Court.—The criminal session opens on Monday next, at ]() a.m. Hho calendar, which appears else where, comprises fourteen cases, most of which are of the ordinary found at the quarterly sessions,
