There was but a poor attendance on the cricket ground on Saturday last, and it was somewhat late before play commenced. Nto Z went first to the wickets, and were disposed of for Cl runs, no one, with the exception of Stevens, giving the bowlers muchjtrouble. His score of 28 was well made, and included a good log hit for 4. For A to M Morice quickly ran up 12 runs, of which 7 were obtained by a fine leg hit off Socretan. The following is the score :
SECOND ELEVEN U.C.C.C. v. SECOND ELEVEN M.C.C.O. On Saturday last the above match was concluded, and resulted in an easy victory for the U.C.C. Club by 75 runs. The principal scorers for the senior club were—J. Dawo, 28 and 24; A. Longden, 10 ; W. G. Cotterill, 13 ; T. Conran, 17 ; and J. R. Wilkinson, 11 and 10. For the M.C.C.C. —C. Paiairet (not out), 10, and Rowo 31. The bowling of A. S. Baker was particularly effective, he obtaining thirteen wickets in the two innings for a very few runs. The following is the score ;
