London, December 18. The House of Commons has decided by a majority of 110 that India must pay the expenses of the Avar, London, December 19. The Home Secretary admitted the distress in the country, but said the reports were exaggerated. The Commons carried the motion of the Indian Under Secretary by 223 against 125, The Lords and Commons adjourned for Christmas, until the 13th February.
