Grey Momus, Awahau, and Little Thought Of came into the straight, run in tho order ! named ; on taking the top corner Bully for You raced into second place, and from this point all interest was centred in the two leaders, it being clear none of the others stood a chance of beating the pais- Grey Momus won by a length and a half. with Chanticleer on rising the hill, and Mr Paul's horse camo into tho straight run with a slight lend, but hal* way up the distance the mare got fairly in front, and was never headed, and won by a length and a half, Forest Queen third, four lengths from Chanticleer. Mr J. Day's Isaac Walton, 6yrs 2 Mr W, 3ibson's < Uawa, 6 yrs 3 Mr W. Walters' Hippocampus, 5 yrs ... 0 Hippocampus gut Ihe best of the start, and made tho running, with Oiawa and Folly in close attendance. Otawa led passing the stand tho first time, Isaac Walton running into second place. They ran in this order about half a mile, when Isaac Walton deprived Otawa of tho lead and led for tho next half mile, Folly being a good third. Folly gained upon tho lenders, and when fairly in the straight for home challenged Isaac Walton, and after a tremendous struggle won by a short head, Otawa, a length behind, being third.
