Prices as compared with last series show a decline on best scoured of lid, and on medium and inferior of 2d to 2id. Reserved lots are neglected. New Zealand greasy is a Id lower. Crossbreds are depressed. Of 70,000 bales catalogued 10,000 were withdrawn. The corn market is firm and steady. New Zealand wheat 42s to 475. London, December 1. Mr Gladstone, on Saturday, at a banquet at Greenwich, urged the Liberals to united action, in imitation of the Tories. He afterwards addressed a monster gathering at Woolwich, and reviewed the policy of the present Government, condemning their secret treaties and growing expenditure, also their commencement of an Afghan war without consulting Parliament, which he said was an abridgement of the liberties of the people.
