Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necoasoiy alterations: — SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30. Eor Northern ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.30 a m., late fee letters, 11.50 a.m. late letter box, guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Otago, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. _ , . . For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tm, at 4.45 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for Tui’s mails. For the United Kingdom via San Francisco, on Friday, December 6th. This mail is due in London on January 21st, 1879, For the United Kingdom via Suez and Brindisi on Tuesday, December 17th. The mail via Southampton will be due in London on February 17th, and via Brindisi on February 10th, 1879. , , . ~ . An extra mail for Lyttelton now closes at this office daily at 2 p.m. J, DICK, Chief Postmaster.
