POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23. For Otago, per Xaiaroa. at 11.30 a m. ; late fee letters, 11 50 a.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 12,10 p.m. train. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 3.15 p.m.; Into fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p m. traiu. The next mail outwards, via San Francisco, closes at Christchurch on Friday, December 6th. This mail is duo in London on January 21st, 1879. The next outward English mails, via Suez and Brindisi, will close at Christchurch on December 17th. The mail via Southampton will be due in Loudon on February 17th, and via Brindisi on February 10th, 1879, SYDNEY J, DICK, Chief Postmaster.
