Mails close at the Chief Post Oflico for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations ; SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16. For Otago, per Ladybird, at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 11,50 am. ; guard’s van, railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18. For Northern ports, per Taranaki. For Nelson, Westport, and Groyniouth, per Maori. The next mail outwards, via Suez (specially addressed letters only), closes at Christchurch on Tuesday, 19th November, The mail via Southampton is due in London on January 20th, and via Brindisi on January 13th, 1879.
