MAGISTRATES' COURTS.

CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday, November 7. [Before Gk L. Hellish, Esq., R.M., and J. T. Brown, Esq., J. P.] Drunk and Disorderly.—David Watson and James Morison were each fined 5?. James Parr was fined 60s, and Frederick Nokes for indecently exposing himself, was sentenced to 48 hours' imprisonment with hard labor. Creating a Disturbance.—Thomas Hawkins, Peter Hawkins, Ruth Hawkins, and diaries Hudson were charged with creating a disturbance in a public place. About 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, a crowd was attracted near the Post Office, in consequence of an altercation, which was going on between the three Hawkins, who were riding in a cart driven by Hudson. A disgraceful uproar was created, and a great number of larrikins surrounded the vehicle, hooting and yelling. Constable Cleary arrested the whole party end conveyed them to the Police Depot. Sergeant Morice corroborated the evidence of constable Cleary as to the disturbance. As there was no evidence that the driver Hudson participated in the quarrel, but was only driving the cart, he was dieeharged. Thomas Hawkins did not appear, and a summons was ordered to be issued for him to show cause why his recognizance should not be estreated. Ruth and Peter Hawkins were fined 10a each.
