She sails this afternoon for Melbourne via South. The Especnlador from the Blurt', and Advance from Gisborne, arrived shortly after midnight. The s.s. Hawea from Port Chalmers arrived at noon. She sails for Auckland via Wellington and East Coast this afternoon. The barque Letterfonrie is loading 250,000 feet timber at the Watipu Mills, Manukan Heads, for this port. , . , , . The brigantine Helena has been chartered by Messrs Coupland and Co., of Auckland, to proceed Aratapu Sawmills to load timber for Lyttelton. The Union Co.'s s.s. Ladybird, Captain Garrard, arrived in harbor at 11 a.m. yesterday, and was berthed at the Steamers' Wharf; she stays here till Wednesday next, when she again sails North for "Wellington, Nelson, Tarauaki, and Manukan. The steamer loft the Manukan October 30th at 10.45 a.m., reaching Taranaki at 5 a.m. on the 31st, sailing at 8 a.m., reaching Nelson at midnight, leaving at 11 a.m. on November Ist, reaching Wellington at midnight, leaving again at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday, and arriving as above. Fine weather was experienced along the coast. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, November 2, The Hinemoa was met by a steamer at Manukan Heads, transhipped her passongers, and returned to Wellington. Port Chalmers, November 2. Arrived—Wanaka and Easby from Lyttelton. Sailed—Barque Wild Wave for Hobart Town; brigantine Akbar for Newcastle. Arrived—Barquentine Hopeful, with a cargo of tea and sundries from Foochoo, after a passage of 73 days.
