KEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS. Prorogation of Parliament* [pub press agency.] Wellington, November 2. Tlie House met at noon. The Speaker read a schedule of business during the session. Members then repaired to the Legislative Council Chamber, where Parliament was formally prorogued by commission to 14th January. The Commission consisted of the Him. Major Richmond, Sit D. lied, and the Hon. Colonel Whitmore. Twenty-three members of the House of Representatives were present. At the general meeting of the Northern Land, Loan, and Building Company of Wellington, the report showed that the profits arising from tho transactions of the past nine months amount to <£2574, which, after payn cut to the cost of forming tho company and all current working expenses, leaving a profit of 13s 3tl per share. It was agreed to bold the annual show, to include a show of dogs on tbo 18th December. It was resolved to establish a weekly corn market in Balclutha on Bridays.
