CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, Novembke 2. [Refore G. L. Lee, Esq., J.P.] Drunkenness.—A first offender was fined ss, Ellen Thompson 20s, and Ellen Talbot was sent to gaol for one month with hard labor. ' LYTTELTON. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M., T. H. Potts, and H. R. Webb, Esqs.’s, J.P.’s.] Drunkenness.—An inebriate was fined 10s for this offence. Assisting Sailors to Deseet.—Alexander Gayton, a seaman on board tbo barque Sunbeam, was charged with assisting two sailors belonging to the French barque Kermagh to desert. The Bench, after hearsome of the evidence, remanded accused to Monday next, admitting him to bail. _____
