POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : THUKSDAY, OCTOBER 31. For Northern ports, per Taiaroa, at 3.15 p.m; late letters. 335 p.m.; railway station, 4 pm, train. For Wellington, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; flate letters, 2.10 pm. ; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otag\ per Easby, at 1.50 p.m; lute letters, 2.10p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November. This mail is due at London on December 24th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chtaf Postmaster.
