POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30. For Otago, per Wauaka, at 1.50 p.m; lata letters, 2 10p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies per Rmgarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31. For Northern ports, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Taiaroa, at 3.15 p.m; late letters. 3.35 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November. This mail is due at London on December 24th. SYDNEY J, DICK, Chief Postmaster.
