Maila close at the Chief Post Offloe for the following places as under, subject to the neoessary alterations \— SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26. For Otago, por Taiaroa, at 11.30 a.m.; lato letters, 11.50 a.m. ; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. MONDAY, OCTOBER 28. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Taranaki, at 3.15 p.m.; late letters, 3.35 p.m.; railway station, I p. ru train. For Kaikoura and "Wellington, per Tni, at 3.15 p.m.; late letters, 3.35 p.m.; railway station, i p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, on or about Monday next, 28th inst. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November. This mail is due at London on December 24th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
