POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary Alterations RIDAY> OCTOBER 25. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tm, at 3,15 p.m.; late letters, 3.35p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. tram ' SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26. For Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters. 11.50 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November, This mail is due at London on December 24th. SYDNEY J. D!CK, Chief Postmaster.
