POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : WEDNESDAY, OCTOBEE 23. Supplementary mails for United Kingdom, via Southampton and orindisi, Continent of Europe, Australian colonies, &c., &c., per Southern express train, will close at the Christchurch office at 7.30 a.m. Tor Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Ladybird, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters, 11.50 a.m. j railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
