MAGISTRATES' COURT.
CHRISTOHURCH. Tuesday, October 22. [Before G-. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—A first offender was fined 5s ; Mary Cunningham was fined 40s. Maintenance. —Maurice Fitzpatrick was summoned for neglecting to provide his wife and family with adequate means of support. There was no appearance of either complainant or defendant. The Bench directed that the fees should be recovered from the defendant. Stealing prom me Person. John Elliott Ayers was charged with stealing the sum of £3 from George Sinclair King. At the request of the police the prisoner was remanded until Friday, the 25t,h mst.
