Thick foggy weather to Cape Farewell, which was reached at 8 a.m. on 29th; light variables thence to arriving in Wellington at midnight 29th. Discharged 600 tons of coal and 60 tons general cargo, and left again at 6.30 p.m. on the Ist October. Had light variables and calms ,to arrival in Lyttelton at 3.30 p.m. on the 2nd inst. She discharged and loaded, sailing south last night. The ketch Gazelle arrived yesterday, having been driven back through stress of weather. She has experienced nothing but a succession of N.W. gales since leaving here, being driven 200 miles off the land. As she strained during the first gale and has since been making water, and as the adverse gales continued. Captain Giles put back to port. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Auckland, October 2.
