[FBOM OUB OWN cobbespondent.] Kaiapoi, September 30. The floods are subsiding, bub are expected t 3 increase again during the night. The railway repairs, now being made, will then be destroyed. The Mayor is said to have telegraphed to the Government giving notice that, unless a passage is made through the line at Irishman's Fiat, those interested will take the matter in hand at 10 a.m.to-morrow. The coaches between Chaney's and Kaiapoi are inadequate.to carry all the passengers between morning and evening trains.
