Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m, 5 late letters. 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 240 pm. train. S ITURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21. For Otago, per Taiaroa. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka. A daily mail is closed for Otago at 7.30 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom for correspondence specially marked via Suez or via Brindisi will leave Lyttelton per s.s. Ringarooma on Tuesday, the 24th September. The mails are due in London via Suez on November 25th. via Brindisi on November 18th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will leave Christchnrch on Friday, October 11th. The mail via San Francisco is due in London on November 26th. SYDNEY J.
