LYTTELTON REGATTA COMMITTEE.

The final meeting of the Lyttelton Eogatta Committee to receive balance-sheet, was held Jeaterday afternoon at the Colonists’ Hall, Ir Cunningham in the chair. The hon. treasurer, Mr J, C. Boddington, read the balance-sheet, which had been duly audited by Messrs W. Ward and Hindley. It was received and adopted. It was resolved that the hon. secretary be requested to write to his Worship the Mayor and request him to call a public meeting to consider the advisableness of a regatta on January Ist, 1879, and suggesting Wednesday, September 18bh as a suitable day if convenient for his Worship. The meeting then adjourned.
