For maiden horses at time of entrance. Penalties for winning after entrance—Once, 71b; twice or more, 101 b. Second horse, 20 sovs from the prize. One mile and a half. Eain then came on. The Gbeat Metropolitan Stakes, a handicap sweepstakes of 20 sots each, h ft, or 2 sovs if declared by Wednesday, 10th July, with 350 sovs added. Second horse 50, and third 20 sovs from the prize. A winner of any handicap race after the declaration of the weights (A.J.C. Epsom and Shorts Handicaps excepted) of the value of 200 sovs to carry 51b extra ; of two or more such races, Sib extra ; of any such race of the value of 100 s >vs, 31b extra ; of two or more such races, 51b extra.
