They were again attacked, and thirty killed, and several wounded. Five soldiers were killed. The war continues. Seven convicts attempting to escape, throe were shot dead. The Ranee has returned to Noumea from China. Maize and potatoes are rising. .[SPECIAL TO 3PEKSS &GBNOY,] . gJI OJ London, August 27. The first innings of the Australians closed for 260. Bailey, 106; Murdoch, 73. The second innings of Hastings, 82. Spofforth took twelve wickets. The Australians won in one innings, with forty-seven runs to spare.
