Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to tho necessary SEpTEMBER 3< For South and Australian colonies, per Eiugarooraa, at 11 a.m. ; late letters, 11.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER t. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northeru ports, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 4p.m. train. ' SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
