TO THE BURGESSES OF THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH. G GENTLEMEN,—At the suggestion of ■T several intlueutial citizens. I am induced to oder you my services as a representative in the City Council. My actions and my opiuieus are, I think, tolerably well known to you. As regards the Public Reserves, I have always maintained that Christchurch needed an addition to them, and therefore it may reasonably bo assumed that I should on no account advocate the curtailment of the public privileges in the Domain ; but as this is not a city property the chances of so absurd a violation of public right being committed are of course materially diminished. If you do me the honor to elect me, I shall be found always at the post of duty, and I will, to the best of my ability, endeavor so to shape my conduct as to entitle me to your favorable consideration hereafter. Your obedient servant, 21-17 A. A FEES. TO THE BURGESSES OF THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH. CH ENTLEMEN,—I beg to solicit a reJT nowal of your confidence in mo as a member of the City Council. If re-elected I shall attend regularly —as I have done in the past —and generally do my best in the interests of the ratepayers. At the proper time and place 1 shall have pleasure in giving an account of my actions during the past year, and explaining my views on the various questions of interest before the public. Your obedient servant, 2138 CHARLES E, BRIGGS. NOTICE ! ! JJ BANKETS SLIGHTLY SOILED, through being shown at the Door, will be SOLD AT THE HALL, HIGH STREET, AT LESS THAN COST PRICE. 11. E.
