The Customs duties collected here on Thurs. rtav Ancußt 22nd, amounted to £945 13s Id. The items werej-Winea, £62 16s: spirits, £155 3s9d; lie and s'out (bottled), £73 18s 9d ; tobacco, £24 10s: tea, £l3i 5s ; sugar, £2B: goods by weight, £159 6s lid; ad valorem, £270 4s; other duties, J 837 8s Bd, At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board on Thursday, Angnst 22nd, 6870 acres 1 rood were disposed of, realising £13,752 10s. The land is situated as under :—a shley, 1546 acres ; Selwyn, 785 acres 1 pood ; Akaroa, 156 acres ; Ashbnrt"n, 3664 acres ; Geraldine, 689 acres; Waimate, 36 acres. Mr J. G. Hawkes held a sale of landed property yesterday. The only property placed was one acre of land and an eight-roomed house at Opawa, which realised £7OO.
