COMMERCIAL.
The Customs duties collected here on Monday, August 19th, amounted to £BIO 4s 3d. The ltoms were : _WiDOB, £4O 18s 6d; spirits, £446 Lis lOd; cigars, £29 lis lid; tobacco, £2 5s ; ale (in bulk). £1 7s 6d; tea, £56 8s; sugar, £lls 7s 6d; goods by weight, £7; ad valorem, £90125. LAND SALES. Messrs J. T. Ford and Co. offered for sale yesterday a number of sections in the township of Albury, the upset price of which was £5. About a dozen sections were sold at a small advance upon this price. The rest of the land advertised for sale by them yesterday was withdrawn. Mr Charles Clark sold yesterday three sections of land in the Pound road, near the English Church each bavii g a frontage of 50 links by a depth ol 145 links, for £65, £62 10s, and £62 10s respectively ; also, three building sites in Gloucester street East, near the Christchurch Bowling Ground, encb having a frontage of 50 links by a depth of 250 links, for £2OO each.
